Why I'm Boycotting McDonald's
So I go to the counter and place my order. My kids will only eat certain things so I know what I ordered, and I was very clear. Hamburger with a few condiments only, cheeseburger kids meal with a few condiments only, and a number 9. Well, they got the number 9 right. Here's why: The girl who took my order obviously didn't speak English very well. If it wasn't a number she could push, it got screwed up. So what I got was hamburger with everything and some things even extra. I also got a double cheeseburger with everything and a few extra things. I did not want extra things, I wanted what I wanted. So I go back to the counter to complain. It was obvious this happens all the time because the other girl was like, "Oh, yeah, her again.". So that's the first part. Second, I look over and see an application station, but under "APPLY HERE", it says "aplique aqui" or something like that. Now let me get this straight, if they can't read APPLY HERE, how in the hell are they going to understand what I'm saying to them when I place my order. This is getting ridiculous. When did the US become a bunch of damn pansies. We speak English, always have and hopefully (GULP) always will. So I'm boycotting McDonald's because they're a bunch of PC pansies. To the manager's credit she did give me a full refund, which was fine. But when I go to an American restaurant, I expect to be able to communicate in English, I don't expect freebies. Pitiful what we're becoming. God Bless America!
